Cue-Tip

The Molinari® Cue-tip was developed in close cooperation with Japan’s foremost famous tip manufacturer. We have chosen for a 7-layer tip manufactured from a vegetable tanned leather as it provides far better characteristics than chrome-tanned leathers. Mushrooming is countered by a process developed by our Japanese supplier and with excellent result: increased stability while keeping the original hardness-specifications for a long time.

Understanding Cue Tip Hardness

The hardness of a cue tip directly affects the control over the cue ball. Depending on the hardness, the impact force (measured in kilonewtons) changes, resulting in varying levels of control.

The hardness of the tips has a huge influence on players’ sensations. Molinari offers the widest range of hardness on the market to fit as precisely as possible each players’ taste. Softer tips provides more grip but their resistance and durability is lower compared to harder tips.
